Movie Summary

Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a New York City bicycle messenger alongside his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa (Dania Ramirez). After Wilee leaves, Nima is confronted by Monday, who coerces her into revealing that Wilee has the ticket and handing over the delivery receipt. After Monday leaves, Vanessa finds Nima, and learns the contents of the envelope.

Monday catches up with Wilee before he leaves the campus where Nima lives and threatens him for the ticket. Wilee escapes and heads to the police station to report Monday, only to find out he's a police officer, and hides in the bathroom, where he opens the envelope and finds the ticket.

After he escapes the station, Wilee angrily tells his dispatcher, Raj (Aasif Mandvi) that he is returning the package so that someone else can drop it off. Returning to Nima's college, Wilee leaves the envelope, which is picked up by his rival, Manny (Wolé Parks). Before Manny picks it up, however, Monday calls the dispatch to redirect the delivery to a different address.

As he is about to leave the college after returning the envelope, Wilee runs into Nima. He confronts her about the ticket, and she reveals the truth. Guilt-ridden, Wilee tries to catch up to Manny, who refuses to give Wilee his drop. They race each other and in the process, are chased by a bike cop who had earlier tried to arrest Wilee. As they approach Monday's location, the bike cop tackles Manny out of his bike and arrests him. Vanessa, who learns of Monday's trickery and races over to warn Manny, appears, grabs Manny's bag and gives it to Wilee.

As they were about to escape, however, Wilee is run over by an incoming taxi. He is put in an ambulance with Monday, while his damaged bike is taken to an impound lot, with the envelope hidden in one of the handle bars. Monday beats Wilee into revealing the envelope's location, and Wilee agrees to give it to Monday in exchange for his bike.

Wilee tells Monday that the envelope is in Manny's bag, and Monday leaves to search it, while Wilee meets with Vanessa in the impound lot. She gives him the envelope, which she had retrieved, and he escapes on a stolen bike. Monday, realizing Wilee has tricked him, pursues Wilee to Sister Chen's place. Meanwhile, Nima calls Mr. Leung for help. He deploys his enforcer, the Sudoku Man, to help her.

As Wilee reaches Chinatown, he is confronted by Monday, who is preparing to kill him when Vanessa arrives with other messengers, dispatched by Raj, and delays Monday, giving Wilee time to deliver the ticket to Sister Chen, who calls the Captain of her ship and tells him to allow Nima's family inside. Outside, Monday is confronted by the Sudoku Man, who shoots him in the head and leaves. Nima arrives and meets with Wilee and Vanessa, and they leave together to wait for Nima's family to arrive.

Movie Summary

The film is told in from the perspective of Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green (Joel Edgerton), as they explain their experience with Timothy (CJ Adams) in an effort to persuade to the adoption services to allow the couple to adopt a child. Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Gotham City is in a state of peace. Fearing that his business rival, John Daggett—who employed Bane to aid in a hostile takeover—would gain access to the reactor, Bruce asks Tate to take control of Wayne Enterprises. Batman asks Selina Kyle to lead him to Bane in exchange for a program that will erase her identity from every database on the planet, allowing her to retire. Meanwhile, Bane traps most of Gotham's police underground using bombs throughout the city, and cuts Gotham off from the rest of the world. Bane tells the citizens that any attempt to leave the city will result in the detonation of the fusion core, now converted into a bomb. Bane reveals the cover-up of Dent's crimes and releases the prisoners in Blackgate Penitentiary. Bane starts a social revolution among the poor and criminals of Gotham. She plans to kill Batman and complete her father's work by destroying Gotham. Gordon disables the bomb's remote detonator, while Selina shoots Bane using the Batpod's cannon before he can execute Batman. Batman tries to force Talia to take the bomb to the fusion chamber where it can be stabilized, but she is injured in the attempt. Before dying, Talia floods the chamber. Gordon deduces Batman's identity as Batman uses an aircraft developed by Fox to haul the bomb beyond the city limits. The bomb detonates over the ocean and presumably kills Batman.

Batman is praised as a hero, while Bruce is assumed killed in the riots. After Bruce's funeral, Blake wants to reveal Batman's identity to the world, but Gordon disagrees. Democratic Congressman Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) of North Carolina's 14th District is running for his fifth term unopposed. Cam at first underestimates Marty and humiliates him by playing a video biography highlighting Marty's dim-witted nature. The Motch brothers then hire Tim Wattley (Dylan McDermott) to be Marty's campaign manager. Tim reinvents Marty as a successful entrepreneur and family man. Marty's popularity rises due to his effective campaign while Cam's is further damaged when he accidentally punches a baby. Cam later runs a campaign portraying Marty as an Al Qaeda terrorist, and Marty exposes Cam as a fake Christian by asking him to recite the Lord's Prayer, which he fails to do. Cam attempts to restore his religious image by visiting a church of snake handlers, but he gets bitten by a snake. A video of the bite is leaked into the Internet and goes viral, increasing Cam's popularity.

When Cam's son plans to slander his competition for class president, Cam realizes he has set a bad example and visits Marty to make peace. A drunken Cam tells Marty that he originally became a politician to help people, citing that as class president he had a dangerous, rusty slide removed from the playground. After Cam leaves, Wattley convinces Marty to call the police and report Cam for driving while drunk. Cam is arrested and his campaign is again damaged. Marty then portrays Cam as dim-witted by publishing a "communist manifesto" that Cam had written in 2nd grade, and later showing a video of Cam's son addressing Marty as "dad". A furious Cam attacks Marty, resulting in Cam accidentally punching Uggie, the dog from The Artist, once more suffering in his popularity levels. Cam gets revenge on Marty by seducing his neglected wife Mitzy (Sarah Baker) and recording the act. The released sex tape humiliates the Huggins family and causes Cam's campaign manager, Mitch (Jason Sudeikis), to abandon him. Marty retaliates by shooting Cam in the leg on a hunting trip, increasing his own popularity.

As the election nears, Marty meets with the Motch brothers and learns of their plans to sell Hammond to their Chinese business partner and turn the town into a large series of factories. Marty realizes he has been used and rejects the Motch brothers' support. The Motch brothers offer Cam their support instead to preserve their plans. Marty meanwhile reconciles with his family.

On election day, Cam's victory appears to be certain until Marty comes forward and exposes the Motch brothers' intent and promises to preserve Hammond if elected. While Cam gloats, Marty shows his large scars to Cam and reveals that he looked up to Cam in school for getting rid of the dangerous slide. Realising he has swayed from his true objectives as a politician, Cam withdraws from the election and Marty wins by default. Cam earns back Mitch's respect, and Marty appoints him his chief of staff.

Six months later, Marty and Cam expose the Motch brothers' scandals and the brothers are called to appear before Congress. The Motch brothers point out that everything they did is legal under Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, but they are arrested for their association with Wattley, who is actually an international fugitive known as "The Greek Butcher." Marty and Cam celebrate their friendship as the Motch brothers and Wattley are carried away to jail.

Movie Summary

In the small New England town of Blithe Hollow, Massachusetts, a boy named Norman Babcock is able to speak with the dead including his late grandmother and various ghosts in town. Afterward, the boys are confronted by Norman's estranged and seemingly deranged uncle, Mr. Prenderghast, who tells his nephew that vision is a sign that he soon must take up his regular ritual to protect the town.

Norman refuses to take him seriously, but soon has another vision during the school play, creating a public spectacle of himself which leads to his embarrassed parents grounding him. Now completely despondent and isolated, Norman is confronted by the ghost of the recently deceased Prenderghast in the washroom who tells him that the ritual must be performed with a special book before sundown that day, before departing for the afterlife. After some consideration, Norman sets off to Prenderghast's residence to retrieve the book. Believing that Neil would not truly understand his situation, he drives him away. He arrives at the graves of the town's ancestors, including Judge Hopkins who were supposedly cursed by the witch they condemned, but finds the book is merely a collection of fairy tales.

Before Norman can ponder the situation, Alvin, a bully who overheard Norman's encounter in the washroom, intrudes and interferes with the reading until after sundown. With that, a ghostly storm resembling the witch appears in the air while the cursed dead arise and pursue the boys until they meet Norman's sister, Courtney, Neil and his own brother, Mitch, who have come to retrieve Norman. Together, the kids are relentlessly pursued by the zombies into town, but Norman manages to contact a classmate who tells them to access the Town Hall's archives for the location of the witch's unmarked grave.

As the kids make their way to the Town Hall, the zombies eventually lose them and find themselves confused by modern society and then are beset by the citizenry who attack them en masse. During the riot, the kids break into the archives but cannot find any information they need. As the mob moves to attack Town Hall, Norman in frustration temporarily drives away his companions only for them to be trapped by the mob. However, the Witch storm appears and Norman desperately climbs the Hall's tower to desperately attempt to read the book to stop her, but the witch blasts it with lightning and causes him to fall back down into the archives.

Unconscious, Norman has a dream where he learns that the witch was actually Agatha Prenderghast, an innocent little girl of his age who was also a medium, unjustly condemned by the town's superstitious and frightened elite who were then cursed by Agatha as she was taken for execution. After awakening, Norman encounters the zombies and realizes that all they wanted was to speak with him to ensure he would take up the ritual to minimize the harm of the terrible mistake they made with Agatha. However, Norman decides that this gesture is not enough and resolves to find Agatha's ghost to arrive at a permanent solution.

Norman attempts to help the zombies slip away to have them guide him to Agatha's grave, but are cornered by the mob. However, Courtney, who has come to realize her brother's true abilities, heroism and task, confronts the crowd and convinces them to back off. As the witch storm rages ever more destructively, Judge Hopkins guides Norman's family to the grave in a forest. Unfortunately, Agatha's magic separates Norman from the others and he must reach the grave on his own.

Norman finds the grave, and soon confronted by the vengeful spirit of Agatha, interacting with her in the spirit dimension. She tries to drive him away, but Norman resolutely holds his ground, telling her that he understands how she feels as a outcast. As she struggles to drive him away, Norman endures her assault and eventually convinces her that despite her legitimate grievance, her thirst for vengeance is accomplishing nothing but inflicting more pain and persuades her to stop. Norman tries to convince her that even in the darkest times, there must have been someone who was kind to her. Focusing only on the tragedies in her life and forgetting the good things in her life is what reduced her to a malevolent force devoid of her true identity.

Eventually, the girl, nicknamed Aggie, calms down at Norman's eloquence, recalling her true personality and happy memories with her mother. She is able to find a measure of peace, knowing that she is not alone and one person in the town understands her, allowing her to let go and move on to the afterlife. At that resolution, the storm dissipates, and she and the zombies all peacefully fade away. As day breaks, the town cleans up and regards Norman as a hero even when the outside media tries to explain the disturbance as merely a powerful storm. Norman, realizing that he too, should stop focusing on his memories of being ostracized and pushing others away, accepts Neil's companionship. At the end, Norman watches a horror film with the ghost of his Grandmother again, and his family eagerly joins him.

Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) is a member of Operation Outcome, a Department of Defense black ops program which enhances the physical and mental abilities of field operatives. Meanwhile, Operation Blackbriar and the Treadstone Project have been exposed (through the actions of Jason Bourne as seen in The Bourne Ultimatum), leading the FBI to investigate CIA Deputy Director Pamela Landy (Joan Allen), Blackbriar supervisor Noah Vosen (David Strathairn), and CIA Director Ezra Kramer (Scott Glenn). Kramer requests help from Eric Byer (Edward Norton), a retired Air Force colonel responsible for overseeing the CIA's clandestine operations.

Byer decides to eliminate all Outcome assets and deploys a Predator drone to destroy Number Three's cabin and take out both Outcome operatives at once. Cross hears the drone's approach and leaves the cabin moments before a missile destroys it with Number Three inside. The drone detects Cross' presence, but Cross destroys it with a sniper rifle. Realizing that his superiors have ordered his assassination, Cross removes a tracking device in his abdomen and force feeds it to a wolf. A second Predator drone deployed to eliminate Cross strikes the wolf, and Byer assumes that Cross has been terminated.

Byer engineers the death of other assets through poisoned yellow chems and chemically brainwashes an Outcome scientist, Dr. Donald Foite (Željko Ivanek), into killing his colleagues and committing suicide. The only survivor is Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz). Shearing is later attacked in her house by a "D-Track" team of undercover CIA assassins, but is rescued by Cross, who convinces her to help him. Shearing reveals that Cross was genetically modified to retain the physical benefits offered by the green chems without continuous consumption, a process called "viralling off", but that the blue, psychologically-enhancing, chems still required repeated consumption. Cross and Shearing travel to Manila, where the chems are manufactured, to help him viral off of the blue pills.

On the way there, Cross confides to Shearing that he is Kenneth J. Kitsom, a U.S. Army soldier who was "killed" by a roadside bomb in the Iraq War. He admits that he had below-average intelligence that the chems enhanced. Meanwhile, Byer tracks Cross and Shearing and learns of their plans. He orders Larx-03 (Louis Ozawa Changchien), a chemically-brainwashed supersoldier, to eliminate Cross.

In Manila, Cross and Shearing arrive at the factory that produces the pills, and proceed with the viral-off process. Byer contacts the factory's security staff, but Cross and Shearing escape. They take shelter in a local room, where Shearing helps Cross recover from the process, during which he hallucinates of his initiation in Outcome under Byer's supervision.

The following morning, the police surround Cross' location while Shearing is away buying medicine. She warns Cross, who escapes and rescues Shearing from the police who have chased her. They steal a motorcycle and are pursued by Larx-03. After a chase through the streets and marketplaces of Manila, Larx-03 crashes into a warehouse pillar. Shearing and Cross come off their damaged motorcycle, and are rescued by a Filipino boatman. They pay him a gold watch, which Cross stole earlier from the supervisor of the chem factory, to take them aboard and depart to places unknown, content that they are together.

Vilain demands the Expendables' weapons and the item in exchange for Billy's life. The team surrenders the item, but Vilain roundhouse kicks a knife through Billy's heart and flees with the Sangs by helicopter. Ross recovers a note for Sophia from Billy's body, and the team buries their fallen comrade, swearing revenge on Vilain.

Maggie tells the team that the item is a computer containing a blueprint to the location of five tons of refined plutonium abandoned in a mine by the Soviet Union following the Cold War. Vilain intends to retrieve the plutonium and sell it. The Expendables are able to partially track the blueprint computer's signal to follow Vilain, leading them to Bulgaria. They rest at an abandoned Russian military base overnight. The following morning, the team are ambushed by the Sangs and a tank. After the Expendables run out of ammunition, they are saved by Booker (Chuck Norris), Ross's old friend, who quickly eliminates both the Sangs and the tank. Before he departs, Booker informs the group of a nearby village whose residents oppose Vilain. Meanwhile, Hector and Vilain discover the plutonium and begin its collection.

Arriving at the village, the Expendables find several armed female villagers guarding their children from Vilain's forces: the local villages' inhabitants are taken by Vilain's forces and put to work in the mine as slaves, never returning. The women plead for the Expendables' help. The Sangs arrive to collect more villagers, but they are ambushed by the Expendables and killed. After locating Vilain and the mine, the team assaults the area with their plane before purposefully crashing into the mine itself. The team manages to save the enslaved miners from execution, but Vilain and Hector escape with the plutonium. Vilain remotely detonates explosive charges in the mine, causing it to collapse and trap the Expendables and miners.

Trench and Church arrive and free the Expendables and miners. The pair then joins with the Expendables to pursue Vilain. The group intercepts Vilain and his men at an airport as he prepares to leave by plane. Joined again by Booker, the Expendables, Trench, and Church engage the Sangs in battle. Christmas manages to decapitate Hector, while elsewhere Ross and Vilain fight their own personal duel. Ross defeats Vilain, stabbing him and avenging Billy.

In the aftermath, Ross is provided with an old biplane by Church. Church, Maggie, Booker, and Trench then leave the team. In France, Sophia (Nikolette Noel) discovers a box on her doorstep, containing a large sum of money and Billy's letter.
